Following the closure of Enersys operations in Portugal, Movitrom was invited to represent the brand in the country, in recognition of the high-quality work developed over 30 years in the area of industrial batteries and direct current.
2016
Start of the transformation and reuse of REN’s 48V chargers, with “retrofit” using modern equipment to replace discontinued rectifiers.
2014
Supply and installation of direct current systems (feeders and batteries) in the Baixo Sabor dams. Joint venture with the Spanish company Recticur for the marketing and production of direct current systems. Maintenance of EDP Distribuição batteries in the North zone. Supply to REN of the first 48V direct current systems, manufactured in partnership with Recticur.

Maintenance contract for batteries and chargers at PT power plants (Lisbon area, ex-TLP).
2007
Design and installation of a 20KW isolated photovoltaic system for lighting a pharmaceutical warehouse. Opening of Movitrom Mozambique, focused on providing after-sales technical services for the equipment sold.

Start of supply of Zigor chargers and BAE batteries to EDM (Eletricidade de Moçambique).

Partnership established with Chloride Batteries UK for maintenance, installation and warranty assistance of Telecel batteries.
1993
Exclusive distribution agreement for Portugal and Spain with the American manufacturer Power Battery, specialized in stationary AGM batteries. First delivery of Celltron conductance meters to Portugal Telecom for battery testing.
1992
Movitrom is founded. A maintenance contract for industrial batteries and chargers is signed with Siderurgia Nacional in Paio Pires. The supply of batteries to Marconi begins, with facilities in Linda-a-Velha and Funchal.
